I would go with a high volume oil pump and I usually go higher pressure as well. First check that the proper heat range spark plugs for your application are in the engine. Disconnect and plug the vacuum advance hose from the distributor, loosen the hold-down clamp at the base of the distributor, and then make a thorough check to ensure that nothing is too near any moving parts before starting the engine. Our previous engine was carbureted, so why not compliment this build with modern day fuel injection. How much are you guys spending at a machine shop to fully rebuild these Fe longblocks? More leak down than that indicates a sealing problem in that cylinder. I think with the 360 pistons at deck hieght they're not dished it will bump the cr up to about 9.
