Don't replace with a glasspack General Comments: This truck has a very Powerful V10. Standard in all rear-wheel and four-wheel drive 1999 Ford Super Duty F250 pickups was a 5-speed manual overdrive transmission. Yes Review Date: 17th November, 2005. It has Fabtech Suspension and Rancho Shocks. Interior is decent we have the Lariat package and it is crew cab we have plenty of room inside even in the back seat, our Chevy is miserable to sit in the back seat for any long trip but it is only extended cab Gas Mileage is decent for a V-10 we average 12 around town and on the highway we can get 1-2 mpg better.
Seems more reliable than a lot of the diesels Ford, and other manufacturers are putting out, that have lots of problems, and spend a lot of time off the road. Yes Review Date: 3rd June, 2002. Mileage on vehicle was 151,856. Mileage on vehicle was 154,965. I'm keeping it until it becomes a problem, and I have to start putting a lot of money into it. That would be expected as the truck can 'breath' a little better on the exhaust side. Power windows, power door locks, and leather seats were standard equipment in Lariat models.

General Comments: I've had it since brand new, and has never disappointed me. Comfy interior with excellent placement of controls for everything. Oil changes and most routine maintenance is cheaper than a diesel, but we will buy a diesel next time. As I was getting a regular oil change, the man putting the oil in put in about 15 gallons instead of quarts and ended blowing the engine, with oil coming out everywhere literally.
Other than that, it appears to be a decent design. Biggest downfall of this truck is that repairs and everyday driving can be rather costly. Yes Review Date: 21st July, 2007 Faults: The alternator needed to be replaced after 4 years of owning it. Dark toreador, oxford white, red, and woodland green were also available as options. About a year later the engine totally messed up and the cylinders needed fixing, and many other things that had blown because of that oil incident. At 6000 miles, the speed sensor in the rear end went bad, was replaced without problem under warranty Mac Haik Ford. Simply tows like a dream. General Comments: This is by far the strongest truck I have ever owned, it pulls like no other and has mass power. . In the meantime, it seems good for the money. Besides that, a few sets of tires, oil changes, trans filter changes, coolant changes etc. Gas mileage is about 12.

Let it sit for a day, jump it and it starts right up, runs awesome, then does the same. Auto Hubs were inoperable, replaced excluder seals and 4x4 vacuum valve. Definitely seems more worth it. So back to the 13mm head that is the stock bolts. Model year 1999 Year of manufacture 1998 First year of ownership 2006 Most recent year of ownership 2010 Engine and transmission 7.
I work this truck hard, towing and hauling both for work and pleasure, no issues with either. A 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission or 6-speed manual overdrive transmission were available as options. After machining the arm on my waste gate controller, it works fine. No other issues to date. Diesel power and fuel mileage are second to none in this class of truck. General Comments: The most sturdy, well built truck I can imagine. Thumbs up to Mac Haik Ford! Front brakes I'm doing again next week at 177000 or 178000.
Front end was also properly aligned and it drives straight as an arrow. No major problems yet, and I'm commuting 1000 miles a week in it. Never had a problem towing, and hauling heavy loads, and the transmission still shifts almost like new. After being able to finally get it started, it ran fine, but was missing and was only running on 6 cylinders it's a V8. Air conditioner really handles the Houston heat especially for a crew cab.
